One in three eligible New Brunswickers have now been vaccinated against COVID-19 with at least one dose.

Health Department Spokesman Shawn Berry said Monday more than 38,600 new Brunswickers were vaccinated over the last seven days.

This week, about 17,300 doses are being administered through clinics organized by the province's regional health authorities, and more than 6,100 doses are being delivered to community pharmacies across the province.

6,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which only requires one dose per person, are scheduled to arrive in New Brunswick this week.
