Provincial and Federal Governments Investing in Miramichi Company

Sunny Corner Exploration Inc. is establishing operations and creating 30 new jobs in Miramichi with the support of the provincial and federal governments.
Sunny Corner Exploration is a new company related to Sunny Corner Enterprises Inc.
Opportunities NB is providing a $5 million interest-bearing loan to support the company’s acquisition of inventory and intellectual property required to manufacture specialized exploration equipment. The federal government, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is investing $1 million to support the project.
Arlene Dunn, minister responsible for Opportunities NB said “This company is a manufacturing leader in New Brunswick,” said. “Their success at home and internationally is beneficial for the Miramichi region and for our entire province. We are proud to support the company’s plans for expansion and job creation.”
Official Languages Minister Ginette Petitpas Taylor, who is also minister responsible for ACOA said “Investments like these demonstrate our commitment to helping local businesses scale-up and fuel economic growth. We are proud to support Sunny Corner as it creates jobs and builds resiliency in this region for years to come.”
The project will allow the company to manufacture exploration drill rigs, associated drill rods and other exploration mining consumables.
