Following the resignation of Dominic Cardy as Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, Premier Blaine Higgs has announced a cabinet shuffle, which sees several MLAs changing positions within the provincial government.

Bill Hogan will now serve as minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, replacing Dominic Cardy. Kris Austin is now the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Jeff Carr is now the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Réjean Savoie is the new Minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation, Gary Crossman will now serve as Minister of Environment and Climate Change, and Jill Green is now the Minister of Service New Brunswick, as well as the Minister responsible for Housing.

The new members of the Executive Council were sworn in at a ceremony held on Thursday in Fredericton, presided over by Lt.-Gov. Brenda Murphy.
