November figures released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection show an increased number of Canadians crossing the border at points of entry in New Brunswick.

The border crossing between St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and Calais, Maine, saw over 59,600 travellers entering the U.S. in November alone. While that number is still below pre-pandemic levels, it is a drastic increase over the previous two years. In November 2021, the crossing reported just 18,800 travellers, and in November 2020, the crossing had just 10,100 people entering the U.S.

Over 32,200 travellers entered Maine through the Houlton crossing, near Woodstock in November. That figure is more than double the November 2021 numbers, and more than triple the amount in November 2020.
