Air Canada has announced that it will require all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 30th.
According to a news release from the company, employees that are not fully vaccinated by the deadline will face consequences up to and including unpaid leave or termination, except for those who qualify for accommodation.
The company said this policy is in line with a recent announcement by the federal government requiring all employees in the air transportation sector to be vaccinated by the end of October.
Air Canada has also announced that being vaccinated will be a condition of employment for future hires.
