Less than two months after the Teacup Rock on Prince Edward Island was destroyed by post-tropical storm Fiona, another natural landmark on the Island has been toppled.
The sea arch at MacKenzie’s Brook in PEI National Park near Cavendish was destroyed over the weekend, after heavy winds and rain from tropical depression Nicole.
Timothy Gallant, a resident of nearby Rusticoville who has photographed the arch many times over the years, said Fiona took a chunk out of the arch, which weakened the landmark.
The sea arch was a popular area for photographers, and was often featured in tourism brochures for the province.
