The Canada Border Services Agency is now giving certain travellers entering Canada through land borders a one-time exemption to filling out their information on the ArriveCan app.

A CBSA spokesperson said the one-time exemption is for travellers unaware of the requirement to use the app to submit their information when going through a border crossing.

This exemption only applies to fully vaccinated Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and people registered under the Indian Act, and means the traveller will not be subject to quarantine, testing, and fines for one time only.
