Clorox has announced a voluntary recall of some of its Pine-Sol products due to a potential bacteria contamination.

Some of the company's cleaners, including their Lavender Clean, Lemon Fresh, and Mandarin Sunrise scented multi-surface cleaners could contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism that while found widely in soil and water, that could cause serious infection in those with weakened immune systems or external medical devices. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin.

As of October 26, 2022, the company has not received any reports of incidents or illness in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product, dispose of the product, and contact the Clorox company for a refund.
