The Federal Government has decided to discontinue the COVID-19 Alert App.
The app was launched in July of 2020, and allowed Canadians who tested positive for COVID-19 to enter a one-time key into the app, so that other users of the app who had been in close contact with the individual who tested positive would be notified.

More than 6.9 million Canadians downloaded the app, and the app sent over 456,000 notifications to people who were potentially exposed to
COVID-19.
