Eastlink Wireless will be expanding its operations to Miramichi in the coming weeks.

The company has been working on a retail store at Bridgeview Plaza in Douglastown, and company spokesperson Jill Laing told the Miramichi Leader the official grand opening for the store is set for December 10.

The company previously announced a $26-million dollar expansion plan, to bring its cellular network to northern New Brunswick.

Eastlink has been working to enhance existing coverage from Shediac to Miramichi this year, and then will be focusing on Bathurst and the Acadian Peninsula.
