Deputy Prime Minister and finance minister Chrystia Freeland has announced that the 2023 federal budget will be presented on Tuesday, March 28.

Freeland said the budget will be focused on job growth, clean energy, and affordability.

Following the announcement, conservative leader Pierre Poilievre called on Freeland to cut taxes and cap spending.

When the last budget was presented, the Bank of Canada’s interest rate was 0.5. It currently sits at 4.5.
