New Brunswick Now Has Highest Minimum Wage in Atlantic Canada

With the recent increase in the province’s minimum wage to $13.75 per hour, New Brunswick now has the highest minimum wage in Atlantic Canada.
The Nova Scotia minimum wage increased by 25 cents on October 1st to $13.60 per hour, which is the lowest in Atlantic Canada. Nova Scotia will see another increase on April 1, 2023 to $14.30 per hour, and a $15 minimum wage will be introduced in 2024.
Newfoundland and Labrador’s minimum wage increased by 50 cents on Saturday to $13.70 per hour. PEI’s minimum wage was already set at $13.70 per hour, and is scheduled to increase to $15 per hour next year, with increases planned in January and October.
In New Brunswick, another increase is planned for April 1, and will be tied to the Consumer Price Index.
