According to the Miramichi Engineering Department, a portion of Newcastle Boulevard is closed to vehicles for most of the week.

Between the square in downtown Newcastle and Pleasant Street, Newcastle Boulevard will be shut down until Thursday at 6PM to complete paving and sidewalk work.

Motorists should drive with caution, and expect periodic interruptions and delays in the area.

Timelines for the work are weather permitted and subject to change.
