The province is no longer offering COVID-19 vaccination clinics, instead relying solely on pharmacies to administer the shots.

Up until now, New Brunswick's regional health authorities have been working alongside pharmacies to vaccinate as many individuals against COVID-19 as possible.

Jake Reid, the executive director of the New Brunswick Pharmacists Association said the province's pharmacy teams can meet the current demand for COVID vaccinations.

According to the association, between 180 and 190 of the 239 pharmacies across the province have consistently participated in the vaccination program, giving out about 800,000 doses to date.

Interim Liberal Leader Roger Melanson disagreed with the move, saying he's worried the change may result in reduced accessibility to the vaccines.
