According to Tammy Scott Wallace, Minister of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture, the province’s tourism industry has not recovered to pre-COVID-19 levels.
Wallace added that while the number of those travelling from Ontario has seen a strong rebound, the number of international travellers have decreased.
The department of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture is looking into potential incentives to help attract tourists to remote areas of New Brunswick, including buses to transport tourists, as well as loan programs for tourism operators.
